Dr. Zagkou, can you tell us about your journey into aesthetic medicine? 
My journey started at the University of Athens Medical School, where I built a strong scientific foundation. From early on, I was fascinated by the intersection of medicine, technology, and aesthetics. For me, plastic and reconstructive surgery is not just a specialty—it’s a balance between precision, innovation, and artistic vision.

Was there a specific moment when you knew you wanted to expand beyond clinical practice? 
Yes, actually. The idea had been in my mind for years—it was almost an obsession. I always felt there was a gap between advanced medical treatments and everyday skincare. I wanted to create something that could bridge that gap in a meaningful, science-driven way.

We heard this idea goes back to your academic years—is that true? 
Absolutely. The foundation of this vision goes back to my second thesis at the University of Athens, where I worked on nanotechnology. That experience was pivotal. It shaped the way I think about how active ingredients can be delivered more precisely and effectively into the skin.

You’re now launching your own skincare line. How did that transition happen? 
It felt like a natural progression. Through my clinical work and international experience, I saw that patients needed more than treatments—they needed continuity. They were looking for products they could trust on a daily basis, backed by real science. This line is the result of that need.

What makes your skincare line different? 
All of the products are based on nanotechnology—that’s the core of the brand. It allows for enhanced penetration, targeted delivery of active ingredients, and improved overall efficacy. The formulations are designed to work deeper within the skin, combining innovation with safety and long-term skin health.

We understand your mother plays an important role in this project. Can you tell us more about that? 
Yes, and it’s something very personal to me. My mother is actually a pharmacist, and she will be an integral part of the company. She is also the face of the campaign, which makes this project even more meaningful. Her scientific background and experience gave me one of the most important inspirations behind this line. It’s a beautiful combination of two generations coming together—medical science, experience, and a shared vision for quality and care.

Who is your ideal audience? 
Individuals who are informed and value quality. People who are not just following trends, but are looking for results, consistency, and scientifically grounded skincare.

How would you describe your philosophy when it comes to beauty? 
I believe in refined, natural results. Whether in clinical treatments or skincare, the goal is enhancement—not alteration. True beauty is about confidence and authenticity.

What’s next for you? 
This is just the beginning. I plan to continue evolving the line, integrating new research and innovations, and expanding the concept internationally. My vision is to build a brand that reflects medical excellence and modern aesthetics.
