Hana Young is an entrepreneur, model, and former professional athlete whose career journey reflects resilience, ambition, and a passion for continuous growth. From competitive sports to business leadership, she has embraced every new chapter with determination and creativity. Today, as she enters an exciting new phase of life, Hana remains focused on building a meaningful future while staying true to herself and the people she loves.
1. Your career path has been remarkably diverse—from professional golf and real estate to entrepreneurship and modeling. Looking back, what have these transitions taught you about reinvention and personal growth?
I have learned people go through different phases in their lives. You can take your values and apply them to new chapters and I believe life has a plan for everyone if you’re willing to take chances and don’t be afraid to fail. I was so afraid to fail growing up, I still fear failure a lot, but building new businesses and instilled work ethics have taught me it’s going to be ok eventually lol.
2. Growing up in Alaska and later moving to Florida to pursue athletics at a young age, how did those early experiences shape the woman and business leader you are today?
Growing up in competitive environments taught me a lot about discipline, people and work integrity. Coming across people from all backgrounds as well teaches you a lot about the world and how to manage obstacles and overcome hardships.
3. You once gave up your passion for ballet to focus on golf. Do you ever wonder how life might have unfolded had you chosen a different path?
I do, but I know I had my physical limitations. I think everything happened for a reason and the universe had a different path for me.
4. While successfully running multiple businesses, you have continued modeling for nearly two decades. What does modeling provide emotionally and creatively that your entrepreneurial ventures cannot?
The Modeling industry invites you into such a creative space that’s hard to find in business. You meet so many amazing individuals that have love for life! I think that appeals to my creative side and love for the arts.
5. As you embrace a new chapter in your personal life, what are the values, aspirations, and experiences that matter most to you today—and what kind of future are you hoping to create for yourself?
I’m looking forward to transitioning my current beauty supply store to a new concept between this year and next year with an amazing work family. Hoping everything goes as planned, but also understanding I can only do what I can and not beating myself up over semantics. I have a wonderful support group of family and friends and my fur baby Banksy, my mini goldendoodle, whom I would do anything for to keep happy lol. After working 60 hour weeks for the last 4-5 years, my goal after this transition will be to find a new work life balance and get back to feeling more like myself. I miss having the opportunity to enjoy quality time with loved ones. Then eventually, (and universe willing) I would like to meet a man who can keep up with me and appreciate me for who I am.
