From a quiet dream to a thriving organic skincare brand, Laura’s journey is one of deep intention and soulful creation. A spiritual and captivating woman with an unwavering desire to reach the highest goals, she envisioned SACRA as more than skincare — a sacred ritual aligned with the soul of the earth. Her commitment to purity, conscious formulation, and respectful packaging is transforming the way we see beauty: as something not just seen, but deeply felt.
SACRA sounds like something sacred, and it immediately sets the tone for the brand’s philosophy. It’s about beauty, but also about values. What are the core values behind your brand? What feels sacred to you in the ritual of self-care?
Yes. In Romanian, SACRA means “the sacred one.” We chose it very intentionally. It speaks to the holiness of nature and the quiet power found in daily care.
Our one guiding principle is respect — for your skin, for one another, and for the earth that offers us plants and minerals. That principle shapes every formula, every bottle, every word we share.
Using SACRA is a pause — a small but potent ritual. A drop of oil, a conscious breath, your hands on your face. In that moment, you remember: your body is sacred ground, just like the soil outside. That ritual of beauty is our form of prayer.
We don’t fight ageing. We focus on skin longevity — helping skin stay strong, radiant, and healthy over time. We meet the years with an open palm, not a shield.
So breathe. Press in the oil. Let it sink in. Let yourself soften. That’s the secret: gentle, steady care that honours you — and the world around you.
You spent three months in Costa Rica, completely giving up traditional cosmetics. How did that experience change you and influence your approach to creating the brand?
Those three months in Costa Rica transformed everything. I stopped using traditional cosmetics entirely — no creams, no makeup, nothing. At first, it felt strange. But then… my skin began to breathe. I began to breathe.
I experimented with a few so-called organic brands — even handmade creams — and, honestly, some of them irritated my skin badly. That’s when it hit me: just because something is natural doesn’t make it safe. There must be science behind it. A formula. A deeper intelligence.
That realisation led me to an extraordinary chemist — a woman who completely understood what I was looking for. She didn’t just mix ingredients; she worked with the skin, not against it.
That experience rewired me. It made me want to create skincare that feels alive — that doesn’t merely sit on the surface, but speaks to the skin. SACRA wasn’t born from a business plan. It was born from something I lived, something I felt in every cell.
This is skincare for women who feel everything. Who want to glow from harmony — not from cover-up.
All SACRA cosmetics are organic and environmentally friendly. Can you tell us how you select your ingredients? What’s the secret behind SACRA’s formulas, and how did you and your chemist achieve such effectiveness without using chemicals?
When I sit down with our chemist — who is highly respected in Romania’s beauty industry — we always begin with one essential question: For this result, what should a woman feel or see on her skin within seven days? Everything stems from that.
Our first layer is pure oils: cold-pressed cactus, hemp, argan, sea-buckthorn. These go straight from seed to bottle, bringing fatty acids and antioxidants your skin naturally knows how to absorb.
The second layer is plant-powered boosters: coco-caprylate (from coconut) gives the formula its silky glide. CBD calms redness. Gentle peptides and fermented acids penetrate deeply to hydrate and renew. Each of these actives starts as a plant — science simply enhances their performance.
The third layer includes smart helpers in ultra-small doses. A polymer ensures a smooth texture. A food-grade preservative keeps bacteria at bay. Reef-safe filters provide gentle daylight protection. All are used in micro-quantities, solely to stabilise and protect the formula.
In short, whole plants set the tone, bio-actives amplify results, and intelligent minimal synthetics hold the blend together — longer and safer.
You’ve eliminated plastic from your packaging. What materials do you use instead, and how costly is it to stay eco-friendly?
We haven’t eliminated plastic completely — yet. Sustainability is a journey, and we walk it every day with growing awareness. We haven’t reached the perfect balance, but we’re deeply committed to the path.
Let’s take our packaging, for example. All our primary containers are now made of violet biophotonic glass — the only glass in the world that filters out the most damaging bands of visible light, while allowing in the infrared and UV rays that preserve botanical actives. This means fewer preservatives and longer shelf life for our formulas.
As for pumps and caps, it’s more complex — but we’re in discussions with suppliers who mould them from post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR). Instead of single-use cartons, every product comes in a hemp pouch — a fast-growing, low-water crop that can be reused multiple times and composted at the end of its life.
Is it cheap? Not yet. But it’s worth every penny. Just like our three-layer formula approach — botanical oils, nature-derived actives, and precise synthetics — our packaging is designed with the same logic: the cleanest materials first, innovation second, and the bare minimum of conventional plastic only where absolutely necessary.
The secret lies in dozens of small, data-driven choices that, together, move us toward a lighter footprint. Sustainability, after all, is not a finish line — it’s a way of life.
If you could send one message to the world through SACRA, what would it be?
When you respect yourself, you naturally respect others — and the Earth. SACRA is a quiet reminder that real beauty begins with reverence.
