Irina Haller is an international model whose career spans both Europe and the United States. Known for her elegant presence and dynamic versatility, she continues to leave a lasting impression on runways and campaigns around the world

Irina, you live between Germany and the United States. As a renowned model with experience working in both Europe and the US, what differences in approach to fashion and modelling do you observe between these regions?

Living and working between Germany and the United States has given me a unique perspective on the fashion industries in both regions. In Europe, particularly in Germany, there’s a strong emphasis on classic elegance, minimalism, and exceptional craftsmanship. The fashion scene tends to be more understated, with a clear focus on quality over quantity.

In contrast, the United States is all about boldness and diversity, which I find incredibly inspiring. The industry moves at a fast pace and strongly values innovation and self-expression. American brands and clients often encourage individuality and creativity, which is incredibly empowering as a model.

Both regions have their strengths, and I feel truly fortunate to navigate and learn from both worlds. It keeps me versatile and constantly evolving in my work.

What were your most vivid impressions from the recent Los Angeles Fashion Week? Tell us about your collaborations with famous designers and brands during the shows.

One of my most vivid impressions from the recent Los Angeles Fashion Week was the honour of walking exclusively as the main model for designer Pia Bolte. Opening her runway show was an absolute highlight — the energy, the creativity, and the boldness of her designs made it an unforgettable experience. Pia actually discovered me as a model back in December 2024, so this collaboration felt particularly meaningful and full-circle.

In addition to the show, we also shot the lookbook for Pia’s latest collection, which was such a creative and inspiring process. Being part of bringing her vision to life — both on the runway and in front of the camera — was truly special.

I also had the opportunity to shoot some dynamic, sporty looks featuring outfits from Alo Yoga. It was a fun contrast to the high-fashion moments and added a fresh, athletic edge to my Fashion Week experience.

Which fashion industry trends do you consider the most significant in 2025? Which of them resonate with you personally?

One of the most significant fashion industry trends in 2025 is the continued shift towards sustainability and conscious consumption. More brands are prioritising ethical production, recycled materials, and transparency — and I believe that’s not just a trend, but a vital movement that’s here to stay.

Another major trend is the fusion of high fashion with activewear and street style. The lines between luxury and comfort are becoming increasingly blurred, and I personally love this direction. It allows for more creativity, individuality, and practicality in everyday fashion.

What resonates most with me is the growing appreciation for timeless, versatile pieces that can be styled in multiple ways. I think people are moving away from fast trends and focusing more on building a personal style that reflects who they truly are — and I find that incredibly empowering.

What moment in your life made you say, “Wow, I can really make a difference in the world”? What goals and ambitions are you setting for yourself in the coming years of your modelling career? Are there any dreams or projects you’re especially eager to bring to life?

A moment that truly made me feel I could make a difference in the world was realising that — no matter how long it takes — I’ve always achieved every goal I’ve set through persistence and hard work. That taught me that consistency and belief in oneself can genuinely transform your life.

Looking ahead, one of my biggest ambitions is to walk in all of the Big Four Fashion Weeks — Paris, Milan, London, and New York — back to back. That would be an incredible milestone and a true celebration of everything I’ve worked towards.

And like so many models, I’ve always been a huge admirer of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Walking that runway one day would be an absolute dream come true.
