Exclusive Interview: Anna Stukkert & Cyril Benzaquen

Media, Investment & Sport Collide in a Unique Conversation

Today, we bring you an exclusive interview featuring two influential figures in their respective fields: Anna Stukkert—media personality, investor, organizer of the Investment Congress Awards, and representative of Bundesmedia Berliner Telegraph—and Cyril Benzaquen, a 6x Kickboxing & Muay Thai World Champion, entrepreneur, and art & luxury enthusiast.

In this unique conversation, Anna Stukkert delves into the world of professional fighting, business, and fashion, exploring how Cyril Benzaquen balances his career in sports while making an impact in entrepreneurship and the luxury industry.

Anna Stukkert: Cyril, your career is unique—not only are you a six-time world champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai, but you’re also deeply involved in business and fashion. Can you describe what a typical day in your life looks like?

Cyril Benzaquen: My days are very intense! Yesterday, for example, I started with a morning training session, then had a business meeting, followed by a fashion event—it’s Fashion Week at the moment. After that, I had another training session and then finished the day with a dinner meeting with a brand. So, my daily schedule is a mix of training, business, and fashion-related engagements.

Anna Stukkert: You mentioned business—what exactly are you involved in outside of sports?

Cyril Benzaquen: Besides my sports career, I run my own company, which organizes events. We are currently planning new projects, and I have regular meetings regarding investments and business collaborations. I strongly believe that an athlete should think beyond the ring and build a solid future in various industries.

Anna Stukkert: You are a world champion—who inspires you the most, both in sports and in life?

Cyril Benzaquen: I have several inspirations. David Beckham is a huge influence for me because he successfully merged sports with fashion and business. In the world of boxing, Muhammad Ali is an icon—a fighter who transcended sport and became a cultural symbol. And, of course, I have always been inspired by Rocky—even though he’s a fictional character, his story represents resilience and determination.

Anna Stukkert: Who was your first coach, and how did he influence your career?

Cyril Benzaquen: I started training with Aurélien Duarte, a champion who introduced me to the sport and gave me a strong foundation. He taught me the passion and discipline required to succeed. Later, as I progressed in my career, I trained with different coaches to enhance various aspects of my fighting style.

Anna Stukkert: What keeps you motivated when things get tough?

Cyril Benzaquen: My motivation comes from my goals. I never focus on how tired I feel—I focus on what I want to achieve. If you concentrate on your destination rather than your obstacles, you can overcome anything.

Anna Stukkert: You are working on popularizing kickboxing in a new way. Can you tell us more about that?

Cyril Benzaquen: Absolutely! One of my main objectives is to elevate kickboxing to new heights. For example, my last fight took place at the Grand Palais in Paris—an iconic venue known for hosting art exhibitions and fashion shows, but never fights. That was part of my vision: to showcase my sport in prestigious locations and introduce it to a broader audience.

Anna Stukkert: That’s an ambitious approach! What about fashion—how important is style to you?

Cyril Benzaquen: Fashion has always been a part of my life. As a child, I would read fashion magazines that my mother bought. I love being stylish and keeping up with trends. In footwear, I prefer Louboutin, and in clothing, I’m a big fan of Italian brands like Versace and Dolce & Gabbana.

Anna Stukkert: As a fighter, what do you think is the most important aspect of training?

Cyril Benzaquen: Kickboxing is not just about punches—it’s a full-body workout. You use your legs, arms, and core, making it a highly effective way to stay in shape. Many women choose kickboxing because it tones the entire body rather than focusing on just one area.

Anna Stukkert: Beyond sports and business, what are the core principles that guide your life?

Cyril Benzaquen: The most important thing is to respect my body—by eating well, staying fit, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Family is also a top priority; you should always remember your roots and where you come from. Lastly, I believe in being a good person—life always gives back what you put into it.

Anna Stukkert: Those are powerful words. Thank you for sharing your story, and we look forward to seeing your future achievements!

Cyril Benzaquen: Thank you! I hope to see you at my next fight!
